Friday, June 12th marked the launch of our very first Ryder Pup Charity Golf Day—and what a spectacular debut it was! The event was a collaboration between RSPCA Suffolk Central and ourselves and after an incredibly tense afternoon on the greens, Team Essex emerged victorious to claim the historic first title.
The tournament ended in a nail-biting 4.5 to 4.5 point tie, meaning the ultimate winner had to be decided by the biggest winning hole margins. Essex just managed to edge ahead, sealing their victory with a final count of 14 v 12.
A Spectacular Day for a Great Cause
Beyond the fierce competition on the course, the day was an absolute triumph. We were blessed with fabulous weather, great food, and a wonderful group of players who truly embraced the spirit of the event. Thanks to the immense generosity of everyone who attended, we raised an incredible £1,400 through our auction, raffle, and extra donations!
