Why Run for Us

As a separately registered charity (No. 1211083), we don’t receive automatic funding from the national RSPCA. We rely entirely on the generosity of our local supporters to fund the rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming of animals across our area.

When you run for our branch, your sponsorship goes directly toward:

Veterinary Treatment for Rescued Animals – Donations help fund life-saving veterinary care including surgeries, vaccinations, microchipping and health checks.

Animal Rehabilitation – Many animals arrive having experienced neglect, abandonment or injury. Your fundraising helps provide specialist care, behavioural support and rehabilitation.

Shelter and Daily Care –  Funds help provide safe accommodation, nutritious food and enrichment while animals wait to find their forever homes.

Community Animal Welfare Support – Our branch also supports local pet owners experiencing financial hardship through welfare clinics and advice services

How to Get Started

  1. Pick Your Challenge: Browse the events here and select RSPCA Essex Mid & North Branch CIO as your chosen charity.
  2. Set Up Your Page: Create a JustGiving page and tell supporters why you’re taking on your challenge. Share it with friends, family and colleagues — even small donations quickly add up.
  3. Share Your Challenge – Let people know about your event and your training journey through social media and word of mouth.
  4. Complete Your Event – Take on your challenge and enjoy the experience — we’ll be cheering you on every step of the way.
  5. Tell your story – Take plenty of photos or videos of your challenge to post on social media to let everyone know about your incredible achievement. If you’re happy for us to use them, please send them to us – your story could help inspire others to take part and support animals in our care.
  6. Thank Your Supporters: Once you’ve completed your challenge, thank everyone who supported you. Let them know the difference their donations will make for animals in our care.
