Our branch is run by staff and volunteers with a committee of trustees who are responsible for managing the affairs of the branch. The trustees, along with the staff in the branches, clinics and shops help to run the daily affairs. We have partners – principally the rehoming centres – who help with the intake and rehoming of animals from the public and RSPCA inspectors

The Committee meets monthly to keep everything running smoothly and manage the finances.  Please see below the details of our trustees, many of whom you may see at events or in the clinics or rehoming centres

Insight to one of the trustees

Ruth – I have had dogs (mainly Staffies and Bassets) and horses most of my life whilst working as a project manager in various offices. Since retiring I have been able to follow my passion for animals and volunteer at both the Danaher Animal Home to walk dogs, and the RSPCA branch to assist with animal welfare and rehoming. I love being able to help the animals and see them going off to their new homes and then seeing updates later about their progress. I do also occasionally foster dogs

Ruth Jubb

Chair & Trustee

I have been a trustee for several years now and love it. Many of my dogs, both past and present are featured on this website to help other rescue dogs get homes. I also foster dogs occasionally

Brigitte Swanton

I am passionate about animal welfare and enjoy helping with all aspects of charity management.
