We are absolutely thrilled to extend a massive thank you to the students and staff at Stanway Fiveways School for their incredible recent fundraising efforts, raising £281.30 for local animals in need.
The school was transformed into a colourful menagerie as children took part in a “Dress Up as Your Favourite Animal Day, showing off some truly creative costumes – from majestic lions and spotty leopards to farmyard favourites!
The energy and generosity shown by the school community are inspiring, and we are so grateful for their support of local animal welfare.
A Special Visit and a Big Thank You
To personally show our appreciation, Derrick Yapp (Income Generation Manager) will be visiting the school on Monday, 11th May, and will be joined by:
Willow: His friendly black Labrador (who is very excited to meet everyone)!
Tara Abbot: Our wonderful Prettygate Shop Manager
They’ll be speaking to the whole school about the work we do and how the funds raised by Stanway Fiveways will help animals in need. We are also delighted to announce that we’ve been invited by the PTA to host a stall at the School Fete on 10th July, and we can’t wait to see everyone there again!
Bringing the Inspiration to “Bark in the Park”
The children’s creativity has been so infectious that it’s inspired our own upcoming event!
Following the success of the school’s animal dress-up day, we will be hosting a similar animal-themed fancy dress competition at our Bark in the Park event on Bank Holiday Monday, 25th May (11am–4pm) at Lower Castle Park, Colchester.
Event Highlights include:
The Bark in the Park Dog Show
Music, Magic and Funfair Rides
Bouncy Castles, Food, and Drink
And now…….our new fancy dress competigion inspired by Stanway Fiveways!
