We had a wonderful time in Great Baddow last week at Great Baddow Parish Council’s “Celebration of Volunteers” event. Three of our volunteers picked up awards. Husband and wife team, Gordon and Iris Thorpe from Holland on Sea were nominated for years of dedication, transporting stock, animal home checks and even become trustees for a few years to help keep the branch running. Sadly they weren’t able to attend the event.
Then Leif Emanuel-Francis (aged 9) from Billericay, picked up an award for Young Fundraiser of the year. You may remember his story being featured on Look East earlier this year. You can read more about Leif’s fundraising efforts here. Leif and his mum Sam had a nice time at the event where so many people were rightly impressed with his fundraising achievements.
Congratulations to all three from all of us at the Branch!
